Glamour Photography
Glamour photography is usually boring! The photographer is usually a guy who likes beautiful women, and seems to think that if he points his camera at a beautiful creature he has produced a beautiful photo. No, he hasn’t.
A lot needs to go into a glamour photograph to make it successful. First you need to make the woman look good. That’s critically important.
Then you have to capture her allure and sexual appeal as well as her beauty. This is the main thing that distinguishes a glamour photograph from a typical portrait.
And finally, you need to make the picture itself look good. Many glamour photographers fail to satisfy all three requirements. Most fail miserably on this third point.
Doesn’t a glamour photograph of a beautiful woman deserve the same attention to artistry that any other kind of photography does? Isn’t a glamour shot as important as a fashion or landscape shot?
I think it is, but few glamour photographers, amateur or professional, seem to care about making their shots looks good, even though many of them try to make the woman in those shots look good.
Frequently it’s so bad that even a very beautiful woman suffers by being imprisoned in a bad or boring photograph. On the other hand, I believe that the glamour photographer should use the photograph to provide a suitable environment for her beauty and to enhance it.
At the beginning of my career, I heard the great glamour and erotic photographer Helmut Newton say that he felt most pornography was neither artistic nor beautiful and that he wished he could create great, artistic porn.
At the time I thought that was so strange. Now I don’t think so. And if he felt that way about porn, shouldn’t we do at least as much for glamour photography?
In some of the poses, there might be full, partial or non-revealing nudity if you like. It's up to you and how you want to express yourself. If you're shy, no problem. You can make the shots as glamourous and as sexy as you want with no nudity whatsoever.
Since our approach is to make our shots artistically pleasing, as well as flattering and alluring, we recognize that not all people have the same visual likes and tastes. That’s why we offer a variety of styles for you to choose from. We’ll work with you before the shoot to make sure we’re on the same page.
If you like, we can send pictures back and forth via email so we can both understand the kinds of looks you like and what you’re trying to achieve. We can help you acheive just about anything you would like in terms of look and attitude for the shot. Browse through our samples and you’ll get an idea of some of the different kinds of things that are possible.
Frequently many of our clients don’t have particular looks they want to bring to the shoot. They’ve seen our samples and like our taste. They want us to direct the shoot and create looks for them. That’s fine.
We can bathe you in the experience and create interesting and captivating looks, just like what is done for a celebrity when she does a major magazine layout.
In addition to what we do during the shoot, we can take the photos to a higher level during the course of retouching them and adding special effects when needed.

Pin-ups are loved by men and women alike. There the classic looks of the '40s and '50s, and there are modern looks based on traditional pin-up poses.
